blackle it instead of google it

I don't know why Google doesn't make a huge publicity on this energy saving website that they had created..

Everyone, PLEASE SAVE ENERGY BY SURFING THROUGH

http://blackle.com/

instead of the usual

www.google.com

Both of these are from google but one is energy saving..once you type http://blackle.com/ up there and hit enter the page immediately appears but in a black background form..and down there, God bless you as you had 1,545,378.973 Watt hours saved

Me, as a hyper little tiny creature living on this earth would like to thank you for your kindness and alertness towards our one and only home which is

E.A.R.T.H

SO start saying

why not you BLACKLE it

instead of our usual
Why not GOOGLE it?

p/s: If you want to know more about this facinating site..use BLACKLE to Blackle it on what blackle is actually about..

According to Roberson et al (2002), Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. "Image displayed is primarily a function of the user's colour settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen." (Source: http://www.blackle.com/about/)

Darren Yates, a technology journalist who reviews computer hardware, tested 4 CRT monitors and 23 LCD monitors, and found that the CRT monitors did use more energy displaying a white screen (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackle.com)
